On our way out to Utah, we decided to stop at a friend's house in Colorado, near Denver, to visit them and also see a bit of Colorado, since we've never visited there before. They were so nice to host us, and we had a lot of fun together! They took us to their community pool, which the kids LOVED:
The kids loved playing in our friends' backyard- and they even have a little bounce house!
It was fun to see the Denver temple, even though it was closed and we had to peek through the gates:
One day they took us to Bear's Lair, which was a fun little river that you could play in all along the way:
We even saw a few snakes on the log over the river:
We loved making homemade ice cream with our friends!
There was a beautiful view our friends us to at Daniel's Park!
We went to Dino Ridge one morning to check out the dinosaur tracks:
It was super hot, so the kids didn't love it as much as they might have, but it was pretty cool!
We also happened to drive by a motocross practice place, and it was SO cool watching them! We came over and parked and watched them do their big jumps for awhile:
Later that afternoon we attempted to hike to a waterfall that we could play in. We didn't find the right trail, I think, so we could only see the top of the falls, but it was a beautiful hike anyways!
As we were headed back it started to pour rain, so we all were drenched by the time we got to the car. I actually loved it! Ivy was freezing, and some of the other kids did not like it as much.
That night we stayed at a hotel in Colorado Springs, and the kids loved getting to swim in the pool there!
